About Me

Looking back to the beginning of my Freshman year is like traveling to a place that you have never been before. There are things which you would have never imagined to see. There are also things which look familiar and things which you already assumed would be there. This is how I would describe my ninth grade year of English. Surprising and magical, but at the same time expected and normal. But like every vacation, unforgettable and educational. I've learned so much about myself as a writer, reader, and person through my work in English this year. So, to give you a little background, this is me. My name is Maia, I absolutely love the unexpected. I like to be different but in little ways. I love fashion and design, I feel like fashion allows for people to express themselves in ways that words could never sum up. My life is filled with art and creativity, every day I try to search for the beauty in the little things. This is why I also love writing. Writing is complexly beautiful and I may not be the most beautiful writer myself, but searching for the beauty in other's writing is what I have learned to strongly appreciate. Finding the secrets to someone's writing is like following a map and finding the buried treasure. Through this blog I reflect on my writing this year and search deeper within my work, hopefully finding the beauty hidden within. Also, I will look closely at the things which didn't work as well and decide how these pieces could be polished. This blog follows and evaluates the best and worst moments of my work in English I. Enjoy!
